I took my wife to Applebees today for lunch and obviously saw this on one of the many TV screens that they had tuned to all things sports.
While I like the food there well enough, I don’t really like the sports bar thing. My wife told me that I should have a beer there, something that I drink on very rare occasions. Living in MI, I had to tell her that I could not. When she asked me why, I told her it was because of something that I always carry now. You cannot have any BAC in your body while carrying concealed in my state.
She said that she didn’t think that the police would check me, but the possibility of either a car accident or a defensive gun use would put me in a pretty bad position if I were not following the law.
And I read today that the Democrat politicians in Lansing are trying to add more bad gun laws to an already bunch of infringments on our rights.
We went to a local Applebee’s not too long ago (as part of the Saturday Dining Conspiracy’s “let’s eat at failing restaurants before they vanish” program) and I don’t remember it being very sports-bar-like. But that may just have been the one we were at, or maybe where we were sitting, or both.
I’m with you, except my mortal fear is more a DWI arrest than a DGU. If I am out, sometimes, I will have A beer or A cocktail or A glass of wine, but no more than one. And it is rare that i even have ONE: I’ve been sticking more to sodas.
(I think the last time I ordered a drink at an SDC was when Jimmy Buffet died: I ordered a margarita at the Mexican place we were at.)
Someone sent me a note that Connecticut is apparently planning to ban Glocks. “Common use,” people.
President Trump: I did not sign up for $3.49 gas. I did not sign up for more stupid gun laws. You need to do something about this. Or J.D. Vance needs to do something about this.
Gas here is currently 4.15 gallon.
