Very short random gun crankery.

This is totally silly and absurd.

Yes, I do want one.

I am an absolute ignorant bystander when it comes to wheel guns. But the first thing I thought when I saw this was, “Why”?
I just thing the utility of it would be too limited. The same caliber in a rifle is much more useful for the things that are mentioned in the link, it would seem. I don’t think that someone would carry the gun around the farm, looking for an opportune groundhog or coyote.
I can understand the reason to want one, just because.

Everything you say is true, pigpen. I’ve been kind of half-heartedly looking for a good .22 Hornet rifle, which I think makes more sense.

But you know how I am. I’m the guy who likes weird oddball small bore calibers, especially in handguns. Like the .221 Remington Fireball. The .22 Jet. The .17 HMR revolvers.

And I just think a Ruger .22 Hornet revolver would be a neat thing to have. Maybe not “useful”, but neat to have. Plus if I get one and a rifle, then I can have a .22 Hornet brace.

I guess it does come down to “just because”.

    Stainles,
I of course support your craving for this gun. Myself, I continue to look at the few guns that I have, a Ruger Mark IV 22/45, a striker fired 9mm and a Smith and Wesson 3913, which is a DA/SA single stack that the police took to when first leaving wheel guns.
Then of course a .22 rifle and a 12-gauge pump, and a Mauser in .308. I can’t stop myself from wanting to pick up a 3-4 inch revolver in .357 magnum, shooting only .38 specials but having the ability to use it for close range deer hunting if desired.
But since I would have to sell a gun to buy something else, I just can’t do it. I like what I have now. I almost forgot, I have a nice air rifle and a vintage CO2 pistol, called a Plainsman. Now I have my juices flowing and need to get to the range. The Ruger Mark IV has a red dot on it that I only bore sighted, so it needs to be addressed.
Best wishes for a great weekend.
