Bagatelle (#91)

I did not know there was a Yogi Berra stamp.

I guess these were issued in 2021, which would explain why I can’t find first day covers on the USPS web site. But my local post office still had sheets of them.

Also, postage is 66 cents now. Good thing the Yogi stamps are forever stamps. After all, as someone once said, “A nickel ain’t worth a dime anymore.”

This would have been my dad’s birthday. He died one year and a day after my mom. He knew the date, and when she had passed away. She was 79 and he died at 86. So his life had been a long and good one.
You never would see one in a store, without looking for the other. they spent a lot of their time together, they were in love.
We say that he died of a broken heart, although they will say that there is no truth to such a statement.
I am now at the point where when I think of them, instead of a tear on my face, I get a smile. I still miss them, but it is ok now.
