It seems to me that the C-130 is an underappreciated plane.
It isn’t sexy. But it can carry a lot of stuff:
It can carry a lot of troops.
It can land on a short field.
It can land and take off from an aircraft carrier.
Properly equipped versions even have a “frappe” setting.
