One is that I have other things to blog.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox26houston.com\/news\/harris-co-judge-lina-hidalgos-chief-of-staff-2-former-staff-members-indicted\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo\u2019s chief of staff and two former staff members are facing felony criminal indictments in connection to a controversial contract awarded last year.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The three people charged are Chief of Staff Alex Triantaphyllis, Wallis Nader, and Aaron Dunn. The charges are related to a &#8220;COVID-19 communication contract&#8221; which&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox26houston.com\/news\/harris-co-judge-lina-hidalgos-chief-of-staff-2-former-staff-members-indicted\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">&#8230;went to a one-person company, Elevate Strategies, run by a political strategist with a limited track record that did not receive the highest scores in the bidding process.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>My second reason for blogging in haste is: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.battleswarmblog.com\/?p=51154\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lawrence is on this story<\/a> like flies on a severed cow\u2019s head in a Damien Hirst installation.
