But the story itself is worth reading:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/social-issues\/prince-georges-officer-in-friendly-fire-death-gets-help-from-someone-who-knows\/2016\/03\/17\/82f4900c-ec31-11e5-bc08-3e03a5b41910_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_friendlyfire-7pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory\" target=\"_blank\">Twenty-seven years ago, on a drug raid conducted by an elite special operations team with the same county police department, Sommers had shot and killed his best friend, a fellow squad member named Mark Murphy. In the days afterward, one of the few people who could reach Sommers, locked away in private torment, was another officer who had also accidentally killed another cop.<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/social-issues\/prince-georges-officer-in-friendly-fire-death-gets-help-from-someone-who-knows\/2016\/03\/17\/82f4900c-ec31-11e5-bc08-3e03a5b41910_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_friendlyfire-7pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory\" target=\"_blank\">And now Sommers was being asked by his friend to do the same thing for the officer who had killed Colson \u2014 just as he has done for cops across the country who have suddenly found themselves at the center of unfathomable circumstances.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Obit watch: James Sheldon has passed away at the age of 95. The name didn&#8217;t ring a bell with me, but wow, what a career:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/03\/18\/arts\/television\/james-sheldon-director-whose-career-reflected-tvs-evolution-dies-at-95.html?ref=todayspaper\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Sheldon directed episodes of some 100 series in virtually every genre, including classic episodes of \u201cThe Twilight Zone\u201d (among them \u201cI Sing the Body Electric\u201d and \u201cA Penny for Your Thoughts\u201d), 44 episodes of the hit series \u201cThe Millionaire\u201d and a full season of \u201cThe Bing Crosby Show,\u201d a short-lived family sitcom.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.avclub.com\/article\/rip-larry-drake-star-l-law-and-darkman-233961\" target=\"_blank\">Larry Drake<\/a>. You know, I remember being fond of &#8220;L.A.
