While this has been well covered, I wanted to mention the passing of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/02\/24\/arts\/maria-von-trapp-sound-of-music-daughter-dies-at-99.html?hpw&#038;rref=obituaries&#038;_r=0\">Maria von Trapp<\/a>, last of the singing von Trapps.<\/p>\n<p>And I missed this earlier in the week, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/02\/22\/business\/richard-cabela-who-sold-the-great-outdoors-is-dead-at-77.html?ref=obituaries\">Richard Cabela<\/a>, founder of the eponymous chain, passed away.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/02\/22\/business\/richard-cabela-who-sold-the-great-outdoors-is-dead-at-77.html?ref=obituaries\">Mr. Cabela was a vocal supporter of the National Rifle Association. In a video posted on the group\u2019s website this week, Mr. Cabela was asked what he would say to someone who identifies as a hunter but who does not belong to the N.R.A.<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/02\/22\/business\/richard-cabela-who-sold-the-great-outdoors-is-dead-at-77.html?ref=obituaries\">\u201cHow are you going to hunt without a gun?\u201d he responded. \u201cThese guys protect your right to own a gun.
